Xbox 360 ring of death, does the towel trick work?
I've heard, checked it on youtube and google, but can't understand how it works. Wrapping your Xbox 360 in towels and basically melting it and then letting it cool. Does it work? And if it does, how does it work?
I have personal experience with this, and the towel trick did indeed work for me. However, this solution was only temporary and eventually it stopped working and I had to send it to Microsoft.
From what I understand, the heat becomes so intense that it physically melts the solder points on the GPU so that they can properly come into contact again with the motherboard.
