my dog goes to the bathroom on a mat , but not when out of his kennel, even with mat in sight?

in the house my dog goes to the bathroom in his kennel on a mat, but when I let him out / in the house, even with the mat out in the open, he goes to the bathroom all over the place, he also goes to the bathroom outside just fine. but when Im gone to work I dont want to leave him in his kennel for 9 hours,and I cant leave him outside, what can I do

Give him up...You obviously don't have enough time to take care of him. Or hire a dog sitter and they'll walk him in the middle of that 9 hours... 9 hours is a long time though
