Any ideas for creative, RUSTIC bathroom shower curtain rings?

I just redid my bathroom with a rustic theme - earthtone calls and ceiling, twig shelves, barnwood towel rack, mason jar soap dispenser, etc. Now I'm trying to think of what I could use for shower curtain rings (to put the curtain on the rod) that would fit in with this theme. Many cabin stores sell "lodge" type cutesy pinecones, moose, elk, etc. type rings, but I'm not looking for cutesy. I'm looking for truly rustic.

You could take old fashioned hand forged spine nails and have them beaten into a metal hook. Or you could take baling twine and tie that into loops to make rings. Or you could use the S-Hook portion of a rubber bungee chord. Or you might use some old horse bridle rings.

What you might do is go to some farm auctions or auctions out in the country that sell almost everything under the sun. They should have old farm equipment and stuff used on a farm back in the day. I'm sure if you looked through couple boxes of stuff at an auction like that, you'd find what you are looking for.

From what I'm thinking, you want something you can use as a shower hook, but that people can still recognize what it is and that it is countryish & rustic.
