What is the price of a Green Parrot?

It depends upon how old they are and who you get them from.

If you buy these birds from a breeder, you are looking at approximatly $1400-$2000 for a Scarlet Macaw.

A "green parrot"?? What kind? There are dozens of parrots who are green.

If you are talking about some sort of Amazon Parrot, you are looking at around $1000 for a hand-fed baby from a breeder.

You can get birds from rescues, BUT you need to be educated and experienced with these birds. I have a Blue & Gold macaw that I adopted from a rescue for $100. I have several African Greys which are adopted birds, and I have spent as much as $500 for one, and as little as nothing.

It really just depends upon where you go.

If you have little experience with these birds, you are best off to buy a hand-fed baby from a breeder. They will be very tame and sweet and should come with no "issues" like a bird from a rescue.

That being said, not all birds in rescues are going to have issues that must be corrected. Some of them are surrendered because the owner dies, or because they are moving to a no-pet place, etc. But most of them are there because they were unwanted, neglected or abused. They have issues.
