I have a table that's oak that I want to refinish.?
It's like a sofa table. I have an electric sander and three different types of sand paper from coarse to very fine. I need the steps to do it. I have the stain and finish as well. Thanks!!
No it doesn't look like it has a a finish on it It's not shiny at all. Just looks like wood, but finished wood, you know?
first are you going darker or lighter with the new stain
if darker you can proceed as above answer but if going lighter you gotta sand it all the way down and if the current finish is highly lacquered you will need to wash it off with thinner or else you will be sanding for a month
