Holder Rubbed
My hamster's in hibernation? what do I do?
I went to go give my hamster food and noticed she was in her usual day long sleep, but decided to pet her and realized she was really cold. I thought she was dead but remembered reading about how hamsters can go into hibernation. I put her on a pot holder and placed her on a heating pad set to medium. I rubbed her gently as the internet said to do, to wake her up. She's been moving and showing signs of trying to walk, but hasnt opened her eyes and her fur is still cold to the touch. She's limp and kind of stiff, and is in a crouching position with her head slightly ducked down. I've tried putting some water near her mouth but she hasnt made an attempt to drink. What do I do? Right now shes just laying on the pot hold on top of the heating pad, i've been adjusting it so she gets the warmer side of the pot holder. Please help and give me advice on what to do. Do I need to wake her up immediately? Will she die?
if it says that they might be cold and look like that just keep rubbing her. if not i would definitely take her to the vet.
